Brian was retained a couple that recently sold their home who had received a lawyers letter demanding the couple reimburse his client for damages related to a flooded basement. The Lawyer alleged that the sellers concealed an obvious defect and that unless monies were paid he would commence a lawsuit. Brian was able to reply with an exhaustive treatment of the law of Caveat Emptor and the other lawyer ultimately advised his clients not to pursue the matter.
